Call it an off-beat, or even a modern day version of the "Jack and Jill" nursery rhyme, Up the Hill follows a young couple as they venture throughout New York City, finding the most applicable way of committing suicide.
After consuming countless prescription drugs, Jack (Matt Perlmutter) and Jill (Kristen Ruhlin) lie peacefully in bed awaiting their fate. But Jack, while dangling on the brink of unconsciousness, suddenly decides to abort their endeavor. Claiming that swallowing pills is not a "manly" way of committing suicide, and fearing disrespect in the afterworld, Jack eventually convinces Jill of an alternative solution.
